Stupid things at Haydays and good things

THe guy with the symbolys (sp) worked for arctic cat and the back of his coat said "Waking Up Winter" great idea but man holy hotness batman. That a good way to get heat stroke fast.

I end up buying the wife a Pink HMK Back Pack. She had to have pink.

We've been going for years and I can honestly say, there was junk in the swap meet this year than the past 15 years. Junk! I saw an alarm clock radio for $1, golf bags from 30 years ago. We actually stopped walking it becuase it was so bad. :mad:

They're may been deals, but you really had to sift through the junk to find them.

Still fun and got see many friends, so worth going out.:beer;

I have never been there but why dont they knda sort it out. Put snowmobeilig related stuff in one area and other stuff in another area.

I also thought the crowds were great on saturday. Hot and dusty like usual. Noticed that the big 4 had downsized a bit. IE, cat didnt have the huge stage but still lots of stuff in there booth, no air cond. at the doo booth, not to mention only one summit in the booth. Overall decent day, my kids loved the freestyle. Props to all those riders, good stuff!!! Now its time to bring on the snow!!!!!!!

Didn't find any steals just a lot of walking. I thought there wasn't as many swappers with three empty rows and a lot of single rows. I was suprised the free parking was full on the west by 7:00 and we payed to park, never had to do that. But still had fun.:beer;

This was my first year to haydays. Was kinda dissapointed that most of the swap was 10 year old parts (was looking for a 146 xp track and 8 tooth drivers) and ya it was DUSTY in the afternoon. Ended up spending most my $$$$$ at the venders, got anywhere between 20-40% off on most stuff. Thought I was going to score big at some spots but most of the great deals where xs, s, m sizes. Me being tall, dark, and handsome does has it down falls.

Just got back and it was baller. We found tons of deals, took them back to out spot, resold it and came out in the end with a bunch of stuff we wanted for free. Found alot of guys that didn't know WTF stuff was, or what it's even remotely worth....got a ton of rev stuff for stupid cheap. 600HO rack hooded carbs for $30?? Like new rev headlights for $15?? Bumpers for 15-20.....the list goes on. Then we absolutely raided a vender by the freestlye course for tons of jackets/pants/goggle lens's, cylinders for crazy low prices. He just wanted **** gone and we wanted to buy stuff in bulk.

They need to either ban the junk dealers or take every one selling non-snowmobiling parts and put them in one designated area. That way we don't need to waste countless hours sifting through sh^t. :beer;

i second that!! amen

Did this dude sell his sled yet? LOL. :D

I really enjoy a good beer but not to the point that I want the logo printed on my pants. Might explain why he is in such good shape. I was wondering if anyone saw him again this year.

Dang, I was looking for some good hubcaps. LOL.

I think I saw his Dad selling parking spots on Lexington!! Looked just like this guy but older....

Friday night at Major's was a blast as always! Met the legend Idaho Slim and his wife. What a class act slim is!:beer;:beer;

This was the WORST year for used parts I've seen, well, EVER. Only thing I can attribute that to is the economy. People are keeping older sleds and fixing them up enough to ride. Parts for newer sleds (~2000+) were VERY hard to find. Had to sift through aisles and tons of junk to find that 1 part. Not worth the walk IMO. Did run into a few old friends so that was well worth it. Will be going next year again for sure, it's mostly a ritual. Hopefully the new location is grass, walking on uneven ground for 5 hours takes a toll on the legs.

saw somebody selling the xbox games and it was dirt on it. also theres vintage animals trap and they are kinda rust!
my friend bought a gen ll ( '99 XC ) hood for 25 dollars.

I don't have a sled this year so I didn't walk the swap. Hung out in the Mountain Machines Booth and People Watched. Although I did see the calender girl and the Rockstar girls change in the car and DAMN! I would definatly take a run at those broads!
