Stupid Question - Mode/Set Buttons? Same?

Do the Mode/Set buttons on the bars or console do the same as the ones on the gauge? I've got my sled all apart, otherwise I would fire it up for the answer. I know, silly question. I'm almost positive its the same thing right?

I ask because I am eliminating the switch cluster on my RMK std and don't see a need for a second set as I mess with mode/set rarely.

Yes the console and guage set and mode buttons do the same thing. assuming this is a pro

So in theory I can eliminate the wiring on the stock block and use the mode/set on the gauge and be good?
