Stumped fuel injector ecu issue

You can use 4 injector ECU for testing, you'll get codes flashing but engine will run if your original ECU was the culprit- I've been there, done that. Makes it 'justifiable' to lay down the cash if ECU is known to be cooked! Figure in a little extra time at re-flash as an authorization code will need verified? if thats the right way of putting it. But now that I'm thinking about it, how's the compression on your sled? That would be worth checking first.

compression is 120psi each cylinder..at 3550ft altitude

her 06 RMK 700 is the 4 injector ECU..i dont have a spare for it, but i am getting an extra 05 900 ECU in a week or so..wonder if the 2 injector ECU will still work for testing (idle mainly)

i will start another thread later i think..weird stuff going on, lol..

Wow, I have run my sled out of fuel a half a dozen times, ...drag it back to the truck, add some gas and it fires right up every time, no grief....???

Good luck.

Still haven't fixed this thing. Pulled it apart to start working on it again. Injectors test good. Noid light plugged into ECU harness going to injectors flashes and increases with throttle. What else can there be to it..... :face-icon-small-con

Yeah boondockers bench tested them last spring and they were good. I plan on riding my pro this year but would love to get my 900 running again. It was a good sled till this. This was really the only problem I had with it thus far other than the stator going out. :face-icon-small-dis
I guess really the only thing I can do is start replacing parts until it works. Still there can't be that much to the system. It just bothers me that I can't pin it down.
If the injectors test good. And the Ecu is pulsing the harness I dunno.....

I JUST STARTED WORKING ON MY BROTHERS SLED LAST NIGHT DOING EXACT SAME THING BUT IT IS ONLY RUNNING ON ONE CYLINDER(MAG)IS YOURS RUNNING ON BOTH CYLINDERS?I HAVE GOT FIRE TO BOTH SIDES,PRIMBING BOTH SIDES BUT ONLY RUNS ON MAG SIDE.I AM NOT TRYING TO HIJACK YOUR THREAD BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE WE ARE HAVING SIMILAR PROBLEMS.KEEP US POSTED. LATER

Yeah both cylinders are firing and running.... when I dumped gas in the airbox. Really don't know what else to think about it until i locate some parts to replace stuff.

I don't know if it will help but double check that your injector plug pins haven't pulled out. I've had it happen and heard of many having the same problem, I don't know how it would run in this state or whether it would even start but you never know.

Seperate the connectors and visually inspect the prongs on the male connector, I caught mine this way as one was missing, had pulled up just enough but not enough to look wrong at the wire.

do just what Ghost said above first, and then check the wiring, maybe you have a short or pinched/broken wire from ECU to injectors, its tight back there and could have got snagged and broke on something back there or a zip tie too tight broke them inside the insulation...

iim willing to bet its ECU, injector wiring, or injectors...

whats your compression on the PTO side?

Well you've attacked this problem well so far, I commend the tenacity, but don't throw parts at it 'till it works (sometimes in the end, it seems that happens anyway!) keep working it. Maybe base gasket went south on you? How do the cyl. bolts look?, if they are oxidized/rusty looking, could be a clue somethings up-weeping gas from cyl. ports? If so, maybe simple washers may be the remedy. Keep posts coming, good luck!
