Stubborn Primary Clutch Removal

What ft. pounds is your impact. I had problems with mine but then i tried a higher ft. pound impact still didnt work then just turned up the psi to 100 not recomeded but it took it off real quick. I just did shot intervals 1-2 seconds then it popped off. GOOD LUCK

Heat has always helped me and grease on the end of the removal tool. Typically impact is a bad idea because it can put a lot of shock to the crank. When was the last time you had it off?

Try putting a pretty large glob of grease on the end of the puller. On one of my old REV's I had to get a cheater bar on the end of the wrench to get it to pop.

Thanks Guys,

Compressor is set at 120 (it's making me nervous hitting it with the impact).
Dealer had the clutch off late last season (that's why I thought it would come off easy).
If I get time on the weekend I might just take it to him or try the Hydraulic method
K.

Try the hydraulic method, it works every time. I wont even waste my money on a puller anymore because it works better than a puller.
