Stripped head bolt

All this and a torn track? Some people can't have nice things..........with thousands of miles on 'em.

hahaha, ya, it's got more miles on it than a lot of mountain sleds out there:face-icon-small-sho and it's STILL in better shape than most used sleds too:face-icon-small-hap

Damn unreliable 900's only lasting 8 years before falling apart like this. :face-icon-small-ton:lol:

hahaha, it's rough isn't it....

I've got some minor plans for it this summer, new top end (2700 miles on this one anyway), properly fix or replace the stripped cylinder, clutching, and maybe a few other things:D:D:D

I LOVE MY 900, and I'm NOT done with it yet... not by a long shot!!!!!:face-icon-small-sho

Took the 9 out for one last ride this season - a night ride - and put another 20 miles on it... my redneck fix of teflon tape and gasket maker under the bolt didn't hold just as I suspected it wouldn't, but I did get the satisfaction of 1 more ride, LOL!!!

I fell short of my goal of hitting 5K miles by the end of the season (which I knew was an ambitious goal to set) but I still managed to get to 4,780 miles with about 520 on it this season. We've got about another 6-8 weeks of riding here so I'll be piling some more miles on the little 700 this spring and giving the 9 a proper rebuild this summer with new pistons, cylinder, and the necessary gaskets.

I'm shooting for the 6,000 mile mark by the end of the 2015 season:face-icon-small-sho:D:face-icon-small-coo:cheer2:

Look for a 5,000 Mile Maintenance thread to come this summer!!!:D
