Strengthening stock nytro tunnel

What's the best way to increase running board strength? building a t-nytro and am going to have to make the stock tunnel work for 1 season. thanks

Better Boards

If you are a big dude, like 250 plus, the better boards will bend. They are great for guys 225 and under. The outer extrusions are the problem for bigger guys. Get some of CR racing outer extrusions from Chad and put them on a stock nytro. They are 80 dollars per side. These are straight peices not the bent ones for his tunnel. Way stronger.

I hated how weak the stock tunnel was so I rebuilt mine last summer. I drew up my own tunnel sides (on cardboard with the dimensions) and had a local shop waterjet cut it. I drilled the holes and bought a flaring tool. Including the new plates, all 6 tunnel braces, and edge extrusion I only have around $500 into it. It is bulletproof. I jumped the crap out of it all winter and it's straight as can be.
