Forecast 2-22 to 1 March !

Suppose to stay cold all this week ... not sure on how much moisture. Storm epicenter starts in 2/24 CANADA and goes west to Monterey 2/26 and then east !!!

Storm likely from Los Angeles 70% Friday late (LA) to Truckee 100% Thursday into Saturday.

Mammoth predicts 1-2 inches of rain with ratio 20:1 meaning very fine powder over the crest. 1-2 of fine blowing powder.

Local LA mountains 6 inches snow.

If it stays cold like it is and the storm is even colder this storm's snow may just blow away.

Kern/Tulare temp lows 24-26 will be in the teens and Sunday highs (after storm) will be above freezing at 5000 feet ... 40F.

ONLY computer models agree end of storm will be very cold not sure how storm will start ... warm or cold.

Be advised the forecasters think these are the end of season march storms we normally receive. (and typically go further north than originally projected ... like the one today 2/22)

And the storm suppose to happen today tomorrow will be very north and any will dump into the ocean. Mammoth expects 1 inch snow next 24 hours ... None for Fresno and south.

Of course Truckee is in "normal" mode with small storms (up to a foot of snow) likely all week with largest storm Friday- Sunday (2 plus feet 48 hours)...
