Storm of Death in the foothills!

According to the weather guru's on all the networks we're in for it!

But the winds are starting to pick up here in the town of Sultan.

The snow being blown off the trees and rooftops makes it look like a blizzard outside.

And it's just starting and from what they say it's only going to get a lot worse.

I went into town this morning to try to buy a generator but there isn't any to be found. Even the rental place is out.

Branches are starting to fall and hit the house already because the trees are frozen solid.

Hold me, I'm scared ;):D

I've got a 1000 EU if you it... My other two 7k units are hooked up and ready to go.

Would that power the 46"LCD, home theater, and the satellite?

That would make waiting out the storm a little more bearable if the power goes out.

I have a wood stove for heat, oil lamps for light and a big back porch to keep frozen food frozen!

I might have to take you up on that!
Thanks.

How many watts is the TV?

Hmmm. I dunno. Maybe it will give the stats in the owners manual.
I've only had it for a few weeks.
It's LCD so it doesn't draw as much as a plasma I don't think.

So far, so good with the power here but the wind is really starting to howl now.
I just went out to walk the wife's little dog and I thought he was going to become a kite!
Snow's coming down now too but it's just blowing around into drifts.

I'm pretty sure the 1000 won't work for your home theater system. I could be wrong. Looking at the web site, the 1000 is pretty limited for home emergency power. Great unit for the camper or sled trailer though.

Well, we survived the storm of death, dismemberment and great sorrow!
So far the power only flickered a couple times but we never lost it all together.

I have a drift that almost buried the wife's car (only on one side!) that I'll have to shovel later.
My front (Covered) porch has about a 2 foot drift blown up against the house and hot tub.

It looks like most of the snow has blown somewhere else so I don't even see any reason to pull the sleds out of the trailer for some fun laps today.:(

Once the sun comes up and I see some local news broadcasts I'll have to get the truck out on the streets in search of carnage.:D

I wonder how the boys from North Bend survived the mêlée?

Watch KOMO 4 News. There reporter in Enumclaw got blown on his a**. Then flopped around like a fish..

I'd love to see that but KOMO's parent company wanted to up their contract by 85% from Dish Network and DN told them to go Fu(K themselves.;)

Komo wants to be paid $.55 for every house hold that gets their signal.
ALL the other local networks only asked for .05 to .08.

No chanell 4 for me 'till they cave in under the pressure!
