How do you like your stomper boots? Are the 2.0 gonna be the real deal?

We have over 2k miles on our demo sets here at the shop. We got them late season 2013. Rode two months in them that year, and then had a couple guys at the shop ride them last year trying them with different pant/sock setups. Three different people's opinion here have all been good. So far the boot has been working very well. It did not have any major flaws like the original release of Stomper, and was by far our number one selling boot in 2014.

Things to Note:
•The boot is one of the thinnest on the market so if you get cold feet a large/warm sock will be a necessity.
•Since the boot is thin, it gives an amazing feel for the running boards of the sled. One of the most comfortable boots out of the box.
•Waterproofing has proved to be very good, and hold its own in the market.
•Warranty is 1 year for MFG defects, which if you are wearing them, you will clearly know if there are any issues in year one. MFG defects are not likely to magically appear in year two.
•Note that todays running boards usually are the demise of boots. We demand so much out of our sleds traction they eat soles of boots. It is a good rule of thumb to realize if you are an aggressive rider you will get a season or two is all. Motorfist does repair soles though on their boots, which is the only company to do this and offer a replaceable sole.

We currently have almost all sizes in stock and are shipping daily. Hope this helps out, and of course feel free to shoot us a message if you need anything specific answered, or have some questions pertaining to the performance specifics.

STOMPER 2.o

Mine have some weird rub spots and are too loose around the ankles. My klim adrenalines were definitely a more comfortable boot. My feet do seem to sweat less or stay drier in the motorfists. Although the sole is replaceable, it still seems to hold up better than the Klims.

My Motorfist Stompers are flat out amazing. Best boots I have ever had. Have had them for two seasons now and they still look brand new. Never wet or cold feet.

2x here. Love the bulletproof toe cap and it's taller than the original stomper.

Very durable sole and rarely find the need for a heavy sock. I normally just wear a thin wool to avoid sweating. Only problem I've seen is the popular sizes seem to go fast....

Will have to get new boots this year. The 2.0s are available here in Sweden and are reasonably priced. Or perhaps Blown Motor can be persuaded to ship here??

Is the change of sole a factory job? Or can I get new ones and have them changed by someone else?

If it is a factory job that sales argument is void since I cannot ship them across the Atlantic to have the boots fixed.

I happened upon 3 different really good deals last year on 3 different boots and rode in all of them last year. The Stomper 2, HMK (forgot which one) and the Klim Adrenaline so I think I got a pretty good feel for the goods and bads of each because none of them are perfect. So here is my review of the Stomper 2 compared to the other 2 boots

I love the feel you have in the Stomper because the the size. They are so light you hardly notice they are on. Super flexible and move well. I like that much more than the stiff don't let your ankles bend HMK boots.

The things I don't like are that they are not nearly as warm as the other 2 boots. This does make them more moveable though so take the good with the bad. I don't wear them on days its below 0 degress F. I also had a problem all year long with snow coming in over top of them. They are so small my Klim bids even with the strap around the bottom lace would work up over the back of the boot in deep deep snow and I would come home with wet feet everytime. I just started duct taping my bibs to my boots if it was deep. This honestly is a pretty severe flaw but can be overcome.

The HMK has the exact opposite problem. It was really big and stiff. Felt like I was packing around a canoe on my foot. Walking through deep snow was noticeable harder because of the bulk. They are unbelievably warm though. Too warm for me on spring days. Great boot if you have cold feet.

Overall the HMK and MF each had good and bad things. The Klim in my opinion was the best balance of warmth, moveablity, and keeping my feet dry.

simnil,
We have great pricing and we ship to Sweden daily. There are only a few countries that we do not ship to. The change of the sole is done at the factory yes, so they have to be sent to Motorfist. As for the warranty being void in your eyes, we get that, but with no manufactures in Sweden that is something that is going to have to be dealt with for the meantime, as for 90% of their customers this is something that does carry value.

The Stomper 2.0's are warm. I've never had cold feet with them on even well below 0 days. Ankle support is a ton better on the 2.0 over the original stompers. I also feel the 2.0 is just as comfortable as the 3 pairs of adrenaline's I've had in the past. The sole lasts longer than the adrenaline's too, and is replaceable. I've had good luck with warranties with both Klim and Motorfist.

Thanks, That is good to know!

Another high end sledding boot and apparel manufacturer, Name starts with a K, wont let their Amercan dealers ship here, At least they didn't before, so I thought I would ask.

In my experience last winter with the 2.0, my feet get a little damp in the 2.0. I believe they just don't breathe as well as the Adrenalines. Not that it's bad, but I've never been wet or even damp in the Klim, but I was a little damp in the 2.0. Never enough to get cold, and not enough to give you that uncomfortable swampy foot feeling. This was with Motorfist socks with both boots.

I'm not bashing them, I do think they are good tough boots. And I will continue to wear them, but I will generally grab my Adrenaline boots first.

Hey srt20,

Sorry for your trouble with the Stomper boot. If you are getting wet in your Stomper 2.0 boot then our warranty department would like to look at it for you to determine the cause. Please give us a call at 877-347-8411 and ask for warranty or submit a claim at https://www.motorfist.com/warranty_claim.php

We will get you taken care of and keep you dry on the snow this winter.

Thank you,

-Motorfist

Just ordered a pair of the stomper 2.0 today from firstplaceparts they are close to me so I get everything fairly quick. I have rekon bibs and jacket. I use to wear garbage castle that I had owned for many years. That stuff is getting donated to the local salvation army. Can't wait to try these boots. Last boots I had were HMK pro boa got about 5 yrs out of them. Very stiff snowboarding kinda boot. Excited for the flexibility

For myself I have found quite the opposite. I have 3 pairs (Stompers,Hmk voyageur and Adrenalines) My feet are always wetter in the Klims. The Hmk I like when the snow is deep (as I have the original stompers and they are kind of low) but I do like the fit and feel of the stompers, nice and light and easy to feel where your feet are planted. The only down fall of the HMKs is that the soles wear rather quickly compared to the other 2.
