NOW A $10,000 REWARD

This is just a updated thread cause the old one must be deleted cause its to old so i got asked to re-do it, and now its 10,000 so who knows. but i know their long gone, dont need another person tellin me that again!!! haha

Some ****ers broke into our bc house and stole a bunch of stuff. they were stolen from shuswap lake in magna bay(celista). they got off with 3 sleds the enclosed trailer and a lg plasma tv and a marantz stereo amp and thousands in jewelery including a couple rolex's.

They came in a stolen red 98 dodge ram sport and ramed the gate in. i figure its random cause they broke into a couple houses up the road and stole a outboard motor and generator then they dumped it at our place loading up the jackpot goods. I figure they could possibly be in kamloops right now seeing as the truck was stolen from the kamloops airport(wich is off the beaten path of the main highway) but they could be anywhere at this point, im just throwing this around everywhere to hope someone spots them on the highway or something.

The trailer is a 2007 Wells Cargo model # FW192-VF, and its Black

The roof of the trailer has damage on it cause it caved in last winter but we pushed it back out and you can still tell it was caved!

Trailer serial number:

1WC200H2974064570

the plate that WAS on it was a Alberta plate # is W28 907

their was also stickers on the side of the trailer on the very back that says serviced by wholesale trailers in nisku ab

here are pics of the exact trailer minus the alloy wheels and the small step for the side door. ours just had steel wheels and no step.

COLINSFORD184.jpg

COLINSFORD182.jpg

COLINSFORD183.jpg

REMEMBER! the roof was once caved in and should have creases everywhere.

heres kinda a front pic of the trailer

colinsbike120-1.jpg

The sleds were 2 2008 rmk 700 dragons(red) with the 155" track.

and one 2007 black rmk 600 155" as well.

both are stock as can be with all stickers and everything.

I have serial numbers for the 2 Dragons as well

SN1PG7JSX8C354358

SN1PG7JS78C353832

and the number to the 600 is sn1pm6fs77c712655

this is the rmk 600

colinsbike175.jpg

And heres a pic of the 2 700 dragons and the 600 rmk all on the left(ignore the black one on the right)

bctripdec07011-1.jpg

these are all the pics i have right now of it all. but theirs so many stock rmks out their it would be hard to tell except by vin number.

If you notice ANYTHING fishy or spot any of these

please call the police or me @ 1 780-887-9191

$10,000 Reward if you can lead us to the stolen goods or turn it in.

*******update The truck that took the sleds out of the property was found on the road that goes up to sun peaks(near kamloops) all smashed up, so now i would think is has to be in the kamloops area.

please keep an eye out their guys!

Thx

Good luck getting your stuff, that sounds like quite the nightmare. I hate thieves.

As much as I love riding BC with not having to register your sled but with sleds disappearing and being able to be ridden with out a license plate,I think it is about time that they made registration manditory in the province. With it being a large amount of cash into the system I can't believe they arn't taking advantage of it.Should stop these criminals from getting a free ride.
Anyone else have an opinion about this?

Sorry but I'm gonna have to completely disagree on this. I lived back east in Ontario for 8 years (yuck) and did a ton of sledding all over Northern Ontario and Quebec, both provinces have mandatory registration and insurance to ride anywhere but private property. Not sure about Quebec but registration was running 30$/yr in Ontario and then upwards of $400 for just liability coverage on an 05 F7 (seems reasonable but keep in mind your lucky to get 10 weeks of riding in a season in most areas).

Despite mandatory registration, sled/truck/trailer theft in Quebec is ridiculously rampant. Any sled destination lodging has fenced parking lots with video surveillance and 24hr security guards and stuff still goes missing like crazy... and trust me the RCMP/ OPP are not any more interested in finding stolen sleds and vehicles there than they are here, even with registration..... My personal opinion is that the only thing that mandatory registration will bring is mandatory liability insurance... if this were to occur ICBC would automatically enjoy a complete monoply on the liability portion of your coverage and I can guarantee you it will be absolutely sky high given the percieved dangers of mountain riding (avalanche deaths, chopper rescues, etc). The high cost of insurance will push many people out of the sport... not the guys on the high dollar new machines, but the occasional weekend warrior who's riding the old iron with his buddies a few times a winter who will find it hard to justify $400+ a year when his sled is only worth $2000. This especially impacts the family groups where theres 3 or 4 sleds, you're looking at $900- $1200+ a year extra as we know ICBC does not offer any kind of multi vehicle discount.

Bottom line is: mandatory registration will not reduce sled, dirtbike, or atv theft. Just ask any of the guys over in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick on hardcoresledder or the other trail rider sites.

Its going to happen anyways, but you have to understand the only purpose it serves is a fun tax, and to make it more of a hassle to enjoy motorized recreation. We all know that there are many groups and individuals within the BC government that are looking for creative ways to push motorized recreation off of crown land and this one has the potential to really kill the sport.

hey if the sleds are in the united states man you should be able to find the call a dmv a ask them to run the vin numbers. cause if they sold them im sure the new owners filed for a lost title or tried to register them. what state is close to were you at up there close to the border

I don't know where you get your figures from But I pay for Public Liability and Public Damage 278. 00 a year with fire and theft, collision would drive up an nother 1200.oo. Basic insurance is 78.00 a year for public liability and public damage with 58.00 for registration (plate). If a machine has a plate it is easy to identify but with the current system in BC you don,t need a plate only insurance.
Here in Alberta you must have both insurance with the minimum being PL&PD at 78.00 year and registration at 58.00 a year. The only ones that have to pay the extreamly high insurance are the ones that finance there sleds so they require collision. You do have a choice on coverage but pl pd is minimum.
So some guy with an older sled has to put out 136.00 that gives him a plate and insurance so if he hits someone damages can be paid along with any injuries and police can easily identify the sled as stolen or not through licence plate and serial number. Not saying it is going to stop sleds, atv's from being atolen but much easier to recover.
Person could always steal a plate but will never get a way with it in a stop check due to serial number.I have seen many stop checks for drunks on the trail but would love to see them out there checking for insurance and registration. There are way to many of these thefts going on.A friend had his go from Edmonton area, police said it is probally in BC already because the system is too soft there.
I had a guy turn in front of my sled the year before last in BC lucky for me and for him he was from Alberta as I would of sued him but his insurance paid the 12,000 dollars to repair my new machine.
So I got to say to you I totaly disagree with you.Insurance is there to protect the innocent and registration is there to make it harder to ride a stolen sled.Should be mandatory in BC as it is in every province and state on both sides of the border. You also have a choice on coverage on your car depending how you want to protect your investment, but the innocent guy that gets T boned is also protected do to your negligence.
((% of sleds stolen in Alberta end up in BC because of no registration. If you have ever rode in Albeta every year the police are ther ticketing people that neither have no insurance or registration or are riding a stolen machine.Check stops are common on all trail systems, not only catch drunks but many without insurance or regestration.Plates should be a decal large both sides of machine.
The machines that are going missing in Quebec are going to chop shops and being parted mout due to the population, not even a comparison between both BC/AB as the population of both provinces is like 10% of Quebec. This is just my opinion but would bet that these machines thast do go missing would be returned faster.Rant over!!!

Cheers,
Dave

A little off topic, but from racing motocross from one side of the country to the other, I have had more than one buddy loose everything in a hotel "guarded with a officer and video camera" parking lot in the "belle province". Quebec is a nightmare for stolen stuff. While there, one would be smart to sleep in your trailer with a gun and a very large dog. If it's not bolted to the ground, kiss it goodbye.

Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree :beer;

I'm a strong believer in civil liberties and the idea of mandatory registration of any personal property (sleds, dirtbikes, guns, etc) is not something I agree with in principle. Getting stuff stolen sucks, and we'd all love to beat the **** of the crooks responsible when it happens and wish that the cops would do more to try and track down our toys when they go missing. But I'd still prefer to live in a place with less laws and regulations and more personal responsibility and accountability, its sounds like you prefer the alternative which is more regulations and mandatory insurance which minimizes one's personal responsibility to acknowledge the risks they are taking when riding a snowmobile. I guess its a good thing I live in BC and you live in Alberta. :D

Like I said I totally respect your opinion and you make valid points, its just some of us like our 'wild west' the way it is and are not looking forward to more legislation and more of our dollars going to ICBC and the provincial government. That said, from everything I've heard and read, they are working hard at bringing in mandatory registration for offroad vehicles in the very near future so you will probably get your wish, and guys like me will be forced to coply with the governments orders or risk becoming an outlaw with an 'unregistered' sled.

We should probably get a separate thread going for this discussion out of respect for the original poster as this thread has pretty well veered off its original topic.:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;
