STOLEN 04 600rmk

M
My newley completed 700 rmk was stolen from my yard on friday at about 2pm in east grand forks mn. I have recovered the snowmobile(in grand forks nd) but they still have the key. I suspect they may come over and try to take it again now that they have the key and know where it is parked. Police support was not satisfactory so I am turning here for any information you guys may have to stop these kids. They were sighted, and i have a witness to the thief and vehicle he left in when he abandond the snowmobile. Any tips would be greatly appreciated and any info leading to their arrest will be rewarded!! Thanks for any help you can give.

Glad you got it back, now listen to your father and quit leaving your toys out in the yard. ;)

Hidden Switch

Put a hidden toggle or tether switch on it, and don't show any of your supposed buddies.
I'm not saying take the law into your own hands, but if what you say about them is true? Sounds like you have some leads to follow, and some satisfaction to fulfil.
They would have to be complete morons to steal this 1 again, unless there is more to the story?

I think there are only 4 or 5 different polaris keys made. You can tell which one you have by the number of dots on it. The thieves probably know this and have all of the keys anyways.

I wouldn't worry about them coming to your house. They probably think you are taking precautions to prevent theft and will just pass your house and go the neighbors for a sled.

i normally do store it in a shed, but i left it out that day. I have taken measures to prevent them getting it again, too bad i couldnt have a little stakeout that night where they left it

Yep, key does virtually no good for security anyways.... pull the connector off... lol

Tether's a good idea, as is a hidden toggle switch if it's a big concern.

I run a cable through the ski/A-arms when it's in my truck... thinking about rigging something to the alarm in my truck as well. Summer project.
