Stock walker evans OR Fox float 2

I have a stock 2011 pro rmk 163. I hear that the shocks that are on it are good shocks but there are people out there that swaer by Fox anything. Is the fox float 2 worth the money or are the stock walker evans good enough? thanks

I hated my floats on my m8 if your going to get fox get evOls. If not upgrade to the shocks off the assault they are amazing!

shocks

I didn't think the stock shocks were that bad but when I bent one i found some assolt shocks and love them more. you can send them to Carls or Holz and get them redone for your weight and riding stile for less than floats

I sure love the PRO with Fox Racing Shox Evol R front Evol R and Zero Pro rear setup. Best I've come across so far...waiting to be convinced otherwise. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT

float 2

I put the float 2 on my pro last year.
When i bought them i was under the impression that they were lighter. They are not lighter than WE.
I also thought they did not ride as well as the WE.
I put the WE's back on for this year.

Tried the fox, walkers back on, I like the zbros as well, have them on my other sled, Big problem I have seen with the fox evolv x is that they have to many things to mess with, unless you have a shock dyno you can get real lost real quick and spend hours trying to dial them in.
I learned from years of race car suspention setup that for complex shock adjustments the shock dyno is a "must have" and a good one is not cheap. Just let carls set them for you or leave it alone...

Order the zbroz dual rate spring kit and get your stockers valved for your weight and riding style and save some money. i really liked my stockers last year. Have never been a fan of floats

Thanks rob for promoting a product that was not even mentioned in the orginal post.

I put Float2s on the front of my pro last year. I thought they were slightly better than the stock WEs. I ran them at relatively low pressures (mostly to get the rear suspension to perform) and you could roll the sled very easily, and they would still resist bottoming in most cases. If I had it to do over, I think money better spent would be on the dual rate springs and/or re-valve.

FWIW, F-Bomb was talking about the Evol R's, not the X, different shock as I'm guessing you know, no compression damping on the R's. A middle ground between Float 2's and X's.

I did the z broz and like them. I also liked the Evol R's. I did z broz on the front and had stock rears. You realize how bad the back shocks are with improved fronts. Just telling you in case you only planned on front shock upgrades. Now I have X1's on all fours and it is pure bliss! I wouldn't hesitate with Fox Evol R's and the Fox package on back either.
