Stock nytro running boards bending?

I started bending my Better Boards after just a few rides. I had to run 2" wide aluminum strap underneath to keep the traction edges from twisting down and cracking more than they already were. Needless to say I'm building my own running boards this summer. I like air time though, you shouldn't have issues if the sled doesn't leave the ground.

yeah, I love my Better boards, but they did not help much with stiffening...I have them bending in the middle...the Yammie boards are wider, and thus it is easier to bend them in the middle where your feet are on landings...
Like I mentioned, I think I am going to get some Rox Sled Treds and rivet them in the middle, that should stiffen up the center, and then the edge will be stiffened up by the steel I put inside the edge of the board...
between the two, it should cease and deisist sagging...but wont know till next year...

I wonder if F-bomb does anything with the center cut outs they have from cutting the Better boards...they could do the same thing as the Rox Sled Treds and just bend up the ends, and add them as a BEEFY upgrade/support to buy seperately, for more aggressive or heavier riders...
just take those left over pieces tip up the ends like they do for the normal board, and then guys like me can rivet them on the cross piece...
So you thinking about building something here? It would seem there would be a market, as mine are bent pretty bad. If you make something before I mod mine I will buy them from you! hint. hint.
IMO the edge roll needs to be much much stronger. If it can be secured in the front footwell (easy) and attached in a method in the back to keep it strong, it should be pretty easy to do. Similar to the dragons I would think. Some sort of mesh or grating where you put your feet for easy snow removal would be cool, kind of like fabcrafts...

I just received a pair of Better Boards. Was thinking about using them as a template and only cutting out the rectangles or leaving some amount of the original running board under the BB's.

I'm getting a set of BB for mine, but not cutting out the whole area...there's no point in that as far as I can see...I've tried sleds with and wihout the better boards, and can not believe the difference they make.
I have better boards on my nytro also and my boards are sagged a good inch plus....I think F bomb needs to bend up the outter edge 3/4 of an inch with grooves cut for grip.....it would stiffen the outter edge a ton....rob can you make that change easy enough??

The first thing you guys need to do is get ahold of F-Bomb as I am pretty sure he is unaware of this issue. Guaranteed he would want to know - he is very interested in customer feedback and if there is a problem, he would want to know it so he can consider his options.

Well if you make the outside tubing large enough to put a rubber hose in so people would have the option of running a rear heat exchanger I would be pretty interested. Just don't reinforce the running boards by using the drop down bracket suspension mount location, as those with ez-rydes and experts don't have a mount there.
