We canoed from below glendo down to the Wendover takout a few years ago. 15 miles or so in a few hours. Some fun little rapids. would be a hoot for kids. Big trout can be had, but pretty tough I hear. All we saw were grass carp and suckers. lol The Platte up there is practically turned on and off like a spiggot for irrigation purposes without much thought to the fish.

Can't get the sound of those dam Cicadas out of my head. The woods of Ft. McClellan were howling with them.

Wow! looks like fun for the whole family! A few miles away was an incinerator used to burn Seran gas and other nasty WMD's...
