Still no gauges

i havent had gauges since i bought the sled, it had a new motor put in it, and the guy i bought it from said they worked fine before the new crate motor was put in. i did some porting and im having hell adjusting the clutching without a tach. the motors out right now so is there anything i should check while its out? its the separate spedo and tach style. 04 800 also.

Go through all your wiring connections and check fuses. Then you can check the resistince and output voltage of your stator and voltage regulator.

i have a manual thanks tho, and i have checked fuses and checked most of the wiring i could find. nothing seems to be standing out. i saw awhile ago someeone postd that there was a connector in behind the fly wheel that you have to connect, so im gonna check that when i get my fly wheel puller. any other ideas?? tuning really sucks without a gauge! i would say its my relay, but ive tried different ones, and my head lights and hand warmers still work fine.

i just bought a new relay from napa because my sled started periodiclly beeping at me again. it did this before and i changed the relay and it went away........put the new relay in and i had no tack. put the old one in and the tack came back to life. waiting for another relay. new one was faulty.

i tried a napa one too and i lost lights and hand warmers as well. i took it back. i tried 2 different ones from my buddies sleds but i still had no tach or spedo. it just seems like it would be something simple, but ive been through that sled way too many times for it to be real simple.
