Stiffer spring in front of rear skid?

Have anyone tried to use the crossfire1000 sno pro spring instead of the stock one, to get less ski pressure on a 08 m1000?

As you see below from the spring chart in the service manual, it's a tad longer. But all surrounding parts are listed the same, spring retainer etc.

And the shocks themselves have different pn, but i guess that's just different valving?.

Remember a thread about this, but can't remember if anyone tried this option.

Crossfire/M-Series 7.75” 135 lb.inch
Crossfire Sno Pro Models 8.0” 190 lb.inch

Yep x2! Works better than stock. That part number sounds right. It's off of like a 2003-2005 firecat or something like that. It is a little shorter, but just run the lock ring up to it and ride.

Okay!

Do you think it would have been to much with the one that's 190#?

How does the 170 effect trenching? And does it become a wheelie machine on spring snow climbs? Like too much, if you know what I mean.

guys post some part numbers and their corrlating spring rates if you could please. interested in the 170 and the 190lb spring rates. ski
