Steering tube difference from 09-10?

Are the steering tubes that run from the steering post to the front linkage on the 2010's stronger that then the 09's?

I have read about the 09 M series bending the steering tubes in heavy snow. And am looking to see if they updated them in 2010. Or any other previous years stronger than the 09's?

Don't know about the 2010s but I just got one for a HCR. Much stronger.

The proto's I saw last spring had a larger diameter shaft that was ground down in one area to allow for clearance to the head when turning. Looked like a solid shaft.

It is a lot bigger and feels stronger than the one on my 2007. The one on my 07 isn't much bigger than the stop nut. This pic is from my new HCR.

I ordered a 09 HCR steering rod today from FreeAgent.

looks the same as the one on my 2010 Crossfire

looked under the hood of an 2010 crossfire 800 today and it has that stering pole.
i remember because i´t caut my eye being more beeft up than the -09
