Steering screwed on ride today 2009 M8

If you don't force it it wont happen most likely it was starting to bend from some heavy use or slapping your ski against a tree or something, My buddy did the same thing twice, after that if the skis don't turn easy when stopped I either start moving and turn or get off and turn them by hand, should have been fixed a long time ago but I'm pretty hard on stuff and have never bent one( Have felt it want to though)
I dont think a person should have to get off there machines to turn the skies I think we pay enough money that this should not happen

agreed, just saying you can avoid it. I rarely get of but have tip it up a little to break the skis loose enough to not have to reef on it.

The extended shields were also part of the update for the M1000 this year. They work good, but are finger cutters Back to the topic. The 2010 steering arms are bigger like the HCR and they are back ordered till June. :beer;

Hmm...It appears the aluminum heat shields got some extensions and there is no oil reservoir level sensor anymore.

The oil sensor is down on the side of the oil tank now. Kind of under the fuel rail. Its a little finger that floats on a elbow and looks to be a better system. We'll see!:confused:

They made a better oil sender (hopefully) but maybe they should check out the sticking oil pumps. went to a delete kit and you can actually feel where the oiler sticks when you have it in your hand. Sled runs more consistent and better now.

I'll 2nd that!!! My oiler has been sticking all season. Just figured it out this past week because a buddies XP was keeping up with me and I knew something must be way off!:mad:

Turned out I had snapped a power valve cable and my oiler was stuck open.:eek: Going with a oil delete kit and I should be back to kickin the XP's a$$!!!:D

Happened to mine last year. I bent it straight with a tree branch, rode it the rest of the day. When we got back to the lodge I black taped a long 3/8 drive extension on it. Held up for the last 3 days of the trip :)
