Steamboat Lake Camping

Headed up this weekend with the family and our neighbors. We will all be staying in RV's. The kids are 5 months through 9 years. Anyone have any reccomendations on things to do or see up there? How is the fishing and is a boat needed?

Steamboat lake is nice size for a mountain lake lots of camping! If you have bikes or 4 wheelers take them awesome trail system above Steamboat lake, lots and lots of area to explore. SL has full hook ups or without. If you go above SL there is all kinds of dry camping areas. Jim

bring quads

we did jet skiing on sat and rode to the top of hahns peak on sunday with quads. it was fantastic.

beetle has been through there pretty good, lots of stuff for you to burn but still very pretty. you can rent paddle boats over at the marina and maybe some canoes and all those non combustion like activitys

you will love it.

also, make sure you give your 2 sense to the Forrest service. they are trying to close some riding areas down up there to us sledders.
