Starting rebuilt motor after det

We are trying to start an engine after top end rebuild. My brother was riding my edge, he states it started running funny, he seen the det light come on and he killed the motor. Now after rebuild, we have no spark, is there a reset after the det is activated? Any thoughts?.... Thanks

There is no reset of any kind. Sounds like you missed a wire somewhere. Recheck all your wiring. Easy to miss one.

Make sure you didn't plug the water sensor plug in to the coil plug and vice versa... easy to do.
