Starter ring on TRA XP

If you don't have electric start have you removed it??? Would get rid of some rotating weight. It's not used for balancing is it??

yes it is used for counter balance do not remove

I have been told it is for balance. I have a 2007 with 4500 miles and no troubles after removing. have a 2008 with 1900 miles and no troubles after removing.

I have an 08 that has gone through 4000 miles of total he!! without it. When you remove the ring you will see that the clutch was balanced without it on..

probably nothin to do with the ring but 05 rt took off ring lost crank bearing 04 800x took of ring lost crank
