Stampede pass conditions

Sunday morning started out looking promising, new snow, just enough to "hide" the landmines, had to be careful, but you could pick your way through at least on the eastern facing slopes.. After cresting a few hills you could see there had been a lot of strong winds come through and removed most snow on the west side of the hills, lots of trees and very thin. Ended up breaking trail for about fifty miles found just a few areas to play and climb, but only a few. Then about noon came the rains, wet heavy not worth riding, I'd wait for the next storm, pretty sad. :face-icon-small-sad

Roads are fine, stay high, we ran into less than 3" down low on the road that leads to Lester, probably none now. However we did see some elk hanging out down there, but that's about as low as you can get, everything goes up from there.
