looking for some untracked. I-phone pics are not the greatest.

Did you get any pics on west side?Wanted so bad to get over there but got late on us.Was so much deeper on that side of mountain just new it was going to be all untouched.
Both parking lots jammed packed new it was going to be good on that side.
kb it all depends what kind of riding you do.The problem is snopark is 2750 ft so you start low and end up with rain or slush until you get higher on the mountain.Like k3 said one side tracked up and the other untouched but more boondocking trees and untouched mountain.I like the wet heavy snow over the crusty stuff so enjoyed the later day ride also.
East sides good for family riding open areas and the other a little more technical going through trees and gullies and sidehilling.Was deep and more heavy snow on the sun side of mountain.(westside)
Yah mt st h go figure.Froze in the couv at sea level in april so got to snopark at 12 .Got to mountain and it had frozen from friday to that awful crust Hero snow.You had to either be down low or up high to get some decent snow.Lahar side was shaded and rough riding.Didn't stay long did what we had to do and boogied out of that side back to pine creek area where it was much softer in the evening.

Nope did not go over to the west side, I wish we would have it was hard snow all day. I thought it might soften up but it never did. I was surprised no one had hit that hill in the pictures that I posted. That was real late in the day.

Our 2 picture takers 1-daughter & bud's wife only did the 1st 1/2 ride. Will check with 2 sons if they got any cell pics,but this was there 1st time boondock'n the WESTSIDE up following tracks sorta and back DOWN VIRGIN, so much fun pictures would be showing off, but all that were there will never forget our awsome day!!!! l<>l !!!
BTW 2boys now have enterd the darkside of helen's and both respect why they have not been there,but asked why don't we just go there, thought it was off limits for machines, UHHH-Ohh yeah respect !!!!

I went on the west side it was great. Pulled in no one in the parking lot about 10 min later here comes the over flow from marble. We headed off to the west side and were the first ones up there.We didnt see anybody all day until we headed back down. There were no slides on tht side.

I'm sure glad we found some tracks that had to be yours,because after seeing all the slides on the other side thought threre was something wrong w/ the westside being virgin as it was. Being Grampa from both boys,they are truly not virgins now no more!!! Thanks again to you and of course the darkside of HELEN's for the awsome day!!! BTW NO pictures of proof,but just ask the boys and be ready to listen play by play,you will get the picture!!! l<>l !!!

Yep it sure looks quiet on that side I wish we would have gone over there, but everyone wanted to see the slides. I would have really been green with envy if I saw it was soft too but it looks like you got the same hard stuff. Was it soft down in the trees at all. My other friends went to Adams and they had powder all day but clouds on and off.

You guys suck! I was working NW of Vernonia up on a ridge and had to look at that spectacle all day. Man was I upset that I chose to work instead...

park at the lower lot(cougar park) and ride the road out a few miles, past the junction that takes you to the marble park, you will see where everyone heads up a small hill and up the mountain....
