My buddy and I went up on the west side through the draw and started our way to the left side. After the first ridge - no tracks! No one had been there thank you to the people who like the Plains.

The nice think about it TON'S of snow and NEW on the way too. Ready to do it again this coming weekend.

adams is awesome, great terrain, great tree riding, hills, everything...

Thanks. I am now riding central Cali. where we got tons of snow and lots of sun.Had 35 feet on the ground this year,Biggest year i,ve seen,Will be moving to White Salmon at base of Adams and was a bit concerned about the winter sport i love.thought I would be making trips to find good riding.Love tree riding but it looked like it was a really small riding area confined at tree line on the mountain?

Just a few spots on Adams. Plus you have the berryfeilds in the same area for road riding all out of Troutlake Wa.

looks like all above tree line? Is there riding away from the base of mountain or just around the perimeter?

what he said...

I was up once a few years ago on the huge year in May, Trees were good. Is all the riding right at the treeline around the perimeter or is there areas of trees and steeps away from the base of mt.The area looked really quite small at least in May.we went up high on the mt above treeline but that is boring.trees and technical riding are what i look for,

on adams, their is tree riding once you leave the parking lot, all the way till you run out of trees, tons of tree riding on adams..
now if you compare it to say mccall, or some place like that, then its a smaller area of tree riding.
the area in between adams and helens(lone butte, flattop, berry fields) is also primarily flat areas, with open meadows and tree riding, a little thicker than adams itself, but none the less, their is tree riding their as well.
its definitely not the greatest tree riding in the world, but for around here its as good as it gets....

can you or do you ride in areas that were devastated by eruption years ago?flatlander here enjoying pics wishing he was able to ride this late in the year.:face-icon-small-coo
