St. Anthony’s sand dunes, memorial day...who's going?

i plan on being there Friday the 23rd through Sunday the 25th, anyone else going to be ripping around the dunes that weekend:beer;

hows the weather been in that area?

one of these days Id like to head up there, but I cant next weekend ... even though I have all next week off :(

We'll be there, staying at sand hill's I think it's called. It's the campground with the grass. I'll be there from Saturday till Monday. I've never been to Glamis, but the people that I've talked to say St. Anthony's has a lot bigger dunes, just not as many. Where you guys staying at?

PLEASE be safe fellas. If you do go take EXTRA precautions, as the last 5-8 yrs has seen an explosion in riders there. I personaly have quit going because of the "amatures" trying to show off. Your Never know where they are until it's too late.

Make sure somone has EIRMC life flite # handy.

Have fun, take pics, and ride on.

The weather is looking good. Tomorrow it is supposed to be around 85 and sunny.
Ditto to Bullfrog. The flight path for Life Flight runs right over my house. I see it way too much on the big weekends. Don't try to be the hero.

Thursday through Monday, every year. Looking forward to it. I have heard the sand is still really wet, so lets hope this heat wave dries it up some.
Staying at the Oasis as usual.

"Your grandma took a little spill at the sand dunes at broke her cokix."

how do st. anthony dunes compare to glamis?

I belive that the St. Anthony dunes especially on the west end are much taller than the Glamis dunes but the overall area is smaller.

Glamis is about the only dunes area in the west that I haven't been too (to hot in the summer time) but out of all the others St. Anthony is the most fun. Especially if you get there on a nice sunny day after it has rained all night _ what a blast _ I'm ready but still got sledding to do _ going up today.:face-icon-small-hap

JMHO

If your going in December, thats a negatory ghost writer. St Anthony should have snow on them, by then and Im pretty sure they will be closed by that time for the wintering elk herd.
