I just bought some SS powervalves my question is the 2 cut out on one side of the valve do they face up or down when you put them in . thanks mike

They will only fit into the block one way, if I'm not mistaken the cut side goes down.

Your right they only fit one way after i put the valve together cut out are up though .thanks mike

MORSNO is right they will only work one way. They will go in both ways but one way the valve stops before it is all the way in.

Here's the part #'s

POLARIS part # 2202838 (order two kits, it's only enough parts for one cylinder) includes stainless valve, orange bellow, and 1 exhaust spring.

I wouldn't just think about it. I would do it. My wife's sled had aluminum ones in last year. The shoulder of the valves broke and caused the valve to catch a ring and took out the cylinder, piston, and head. Well worth the money in my opinion.

definitely a must do. had one break and drop in the cylinder at idle. motor locked up, and was a two day job to get it back to the trailer.

You should change them. They will brake one day.
