Squeeky Trails West burant, rear door.

How do I fix this? its been doing it almost since right after I got it its a 2022.

It seems to be the hinges, I sprayed the crap out of them with different things made no diff. I unhooked the worm drive and opened it manually still does it. maybe its the springs? I don't know.

Is your rear door ram a worm drive?

My 2020 isn’t, but the wires corroded enough in the connectors coming out of the frame, going to ram motor, that they broke off the other day. Just like TW told me when I asked about the upgraded ram, they said they wouldn’t waste the money. That rear door closes so easy, it’s honestly faster and easier than waiting and helping the ram push the door up. It’s easily less than half the effort then closing the front ramp door too.

Was this latch installed upside down?
If it is installed this way, it looks like snow, water etc can run right into the latch and freeze up.
Have you had any issues with freeze up?

Nope, thats installed correct and give you the ability to latch it even when that thing is pushed closed and I’ve never had a problem with it. Well, besides losing the little rubber cover for the latch and a couple of them seizing up, but you can get replacement locks pretty easy.

Oh good!
It looks like the water, slush, snow would just get "funneled" right down inside the latch mounted that way.
I had a freeze up happen on another style of lock, and it was a bit of a bugger to get thawed out so i could load the sled up.
Started carrying a small torch, but fortunately never needed it again due to changing the style of latch/lock.
