Sprockets

Want to change the primary sprocket on my T S ( the one after the eng sprocket ) from 17 to 18 or 19. Just to eat up some of the chain slack & reduce gearing just a little bit. Anybody know where to get or make these things. I’ve got a 15. TS

19 would be way too much to get the chain back on I'm guessing. Not all gear combinations are doable on the older TS kits. 13/17 14/16 work 14/17 doesn't work etc. There is not enough travel in the tensioner to take up slack in the chain for all combinations. Odd ball chain combinations need a half link which IMO is not where you want to go. If you want lower gearing the engine sprocket is your best bet.

Haven’t found a 520 half link yet. More interested in reducing the chain slack to keep it off the track however some gear reduction would be nice already downsized primary sprocket. I’m trying to find a weld together combo to replace the keyed sprocket

FAB IT UP

The issue with the keyway timber sled sprockets is the bore diameter is 25MM. The easy to buy and modify industrial sprockets are 1" bore, slightlly bigger hole through the sprocket. Makes it tough to find ready made sprocket that can be easily modified.

Other issue is most industrial sprockets are built to run the wider 530 chain.
You have to then cut down a hardened sprocket to run the narrower 520 chain.

maybe an option

a couple of years ago a shop in Spokane area was building these sprockets cheaper than Polaris.
