I actually just sent the shocks in for servicing yesterday and the front skid shock was hammered. I still have the skid disassembled so figured it might be a good time to look at the springs too. Do you know if the M8 springs are compatible to M7's? THanks for your help.
Do you know if the springs from an m8 are of different tension than what you have? Do you have the holz relocation bracket for your front shock lower mount? That was very helpful when I had my 06 m7.
I read on a forum a while back the M8's were stiffer and recommended to stiffen up M7's. I do have the holz relocation and it definitely made a difference.
The problem could be entirely in the bad shock?? I just don't want to press on the new bearings and find it still too soft. GAMBLE I guess.
I'd say try it when you get your shock back and see if you're happy. If not, it's easy to change the rear springs without removing the skid. Are you having your shock valved specificly for your weight and riding style? A lot can be accomplished with proper valving.
