I need to hurry up and get my sled back together. i guess we have about 4 feet of pretty good snow right now.

Went up Roman Nose last weekend to check it out there was about 3-4 feet but it was all bottom less, no base what so ever hopefully this warmer weather this week will set tthe snow up for a good base. Then we just need it to snow a few more feet and it will start to get fun!

think this maybe the soonest hardass has ever talked about getting his sled ready.

I'm hopeful to have the sled "rideable" by New Years. Still looking for a gear and chain, then scratches and clutching as well. But it should be rideable.

My dad and I ran a bunch of roads on the back side of schweitzer so we could finish his moose hunt. Ended up getting a small bull, but burned down my moms 800 in the process. We were after a mack daddy bull but on the last day of the season he caved and settled for less. Anyhow, I got my Tnytro together to ride one day up trestle and one day up roman nose. It was running like crap and getting detonation at WOT...boondocker told me i needed to change the plugs but I didn't have time to pull it back apart before i had to leave for hawaii again. The snow was alright, but not enough to get off the trail too much. You guys are going to have a pretty good winter if this was any indication of things to come.

Is there any base to the snow yet up here in north idaho?Heading out for a ride on saturday, hoping the snow set up it was bottomless last ride out.

We had a crust about a foot down, but it was bottomless under that. There was a few times I stepped off my sled (in tracks off the trail) and had one leg post hole all the way to my crotch.

I was told if I type in the initials or name of the other forum it would automatically become SnoWest. Just got to try it, here I go BCR, Back Country Rebels

That was the case when a few folks were spamming it all over SW trying to incite a reaction. As long as people can play nice its not something that needed to continue.

How is the snow looking out there? It looks like most places aren't doing so hot.

Not good in my area it's been raining for days now. Went out HWY 200 and rode on sunday, I was soaked by the time I hit the first turn. Looked for snow at the higher elevations but just found more rain. The road was back down to dirt the last mile or so on the way out. It looks like it's going to turn around for us here in the next few days. Hopefully where left with enough snow up top to become a base.

And I feel, so much depends on the weather

I am going to try to get to Roman Nose this Saturday and the long term forecast for the area looks good starting tonight.
