Am I looking into this to much? So I have a FTX motor plate in my 09 D8. Last year I ran out of time to get the center to center distance exactly right on. It was short at 11.400 and my offset was .100 front and .105 back with SLP tool with secondary clutch pulled out (away from sled) (also have TEAM tool but can't fit calipers in to measure with it) My questions are, How much will .100 short affect my performance? I think I am better off being .100 to long than short ( just want to make sure I am right about that)? Also Is it absolutely necessary to be dead on with the C to C measurements? Also when measuring my offset I always pull secondary all the way out (away from sled), But lets say if I want clutch to float and SLP says measurements should be .100 front and .100-.120 back with SLP torque arm, is that with the secondary clutch all the way out? Or would say .090 front and .090-.100 with cluch all way out and .110 front and .110-.130 all way pushed in be right and or better? Is .020 enough float or should I have more? Sorry if my wording of this is confusing! Also when using a SLP push arm on mag side should I set the factory push arm on pto side with factory gap or finger tight against motor?
