SPIDER JAM NUT TOOL QUESTION

Did Polaris change the diameter of the stationary sheave post recently? I ordered a new spider jam nut tool from speedwerx's which got them from Hot Seat Performacne and I can't get the jam nut socket over top of the post to get to the nut, it's very close to fitting but still to tight... Of coarse there closed all weekend and I'm leaving early next week for trip. I'm guessing they didn't know that Polaris changed something and the part has been sitting on the shelf for sale forever.. Hyper! LOL Thanks

No they haven't changed anything. I would say its because the nut on the top of your clutch holder is to tall. The one we have in our shop is maybe a third that size.

yah your nut is too tall and hitting the socket, so what i do is remove that nut that you're using to hold your clutch down and use a 3/8 flat washer and a 3/8 course thread nut and that'll should get your jam nut socket down. also make sure the ready rod isn't too long that prevent your rachet going into your socket

I took the nut off the top of the holder and pulled the clutch completely off the holder and the spider socket is to tight to slide down shaft to even get to the nut... It's the right part but I think the specs on the inside of the socket is off...

I ended up having to bore out the inside of the jam nut socket to get it to slide over post. Thanks
