Speedwerx Turbo Pipe

Speedwerx is selling a pipe to fit the Boondocker turbo and is claiming a 20hp gain. Their website doesn't give much detail about this pipe. Anyone familiar with this pipe that can provide more details?

I've talked with them about it and they say it makes a big difference. they said 7-8 sled lengths in a 500 foot flat race, with better bottom and mid. the cost sucks though at $ 640. O and they rated it at 220hp at 8 psi on the m8, running pump gas.

Pipe

I have been running them for 2 years and will this year also I thing it is big.
Bret Rasmussen did not think it was that big until he saw a side by side comparison and its is big. I give it a two thumbs up.

have seen a couple sleds with this set up and it works! rumor has it that you can take a stock 2010 pipe and put it on your 08/09 m8T and get similar results tho

I'd be interested to see how well the bolt pattern lines up with the turbo... but i there is a little bit of play to swivel the turbo around... i am also curious as to the gains on the RG setup... I would imagine bottom end is where it will make a difference, when the turbo isn't spooled up... 640... pretty much run of the mill for a pipe isn't it?

The pipe was suppose to add the same power to the rg turbos as well. I think you still weld the pipe end on like with the stock pipe. in the pictures I've seen, the pipe end wasn't coated like the rest of the pipe which leads me to believe that its not a finished bolt on pipe. I might be wrong, just what it looks like to me.

Yes, custom application because every sled is different so they could not produce a pipe to just bolt on. You will have to weld it just like a stocker.

Is this pipe on there web site cause i couldnt find it. Does any one have a link where theres some pics or some info on it thanks.

The Speedwerx 800 Turbo Pipe kit requires no welding to install on a BD turbo, it employs a grafoil and spring flange at the the ancillary junction. It comes with a Y pipe also which is stamped from thicker steel and reinforced too overt cracking issues. It is still largely untested on 2010 as of yet, and note if you intend to use it the Y pipe will not fit correctly on 2010 as thier bolt pattern is slightly different.

So.... are there really any performance gains by using a 2010 stock M8 pipe on a turbo'd 2009 M8?

if their ready to ship i'd cancel the bd turbo pipe that i'm still waiting for and order 1.call tomorrow
