Speedometer Fluctuation Question.

I have been riding an 09 Assault for the past 2 years and just switched to an 11 Assault. With the 09 I always had the gauge set with the temperature as the large readout and then rpm's as the smaller readout and never ran with the speedo.

On the 11 I am now looking at the speedo, because it's there, and whenstarting out or going slow and then hitting the throttle the speedo will jump all around while accelerating but is fine cruising. My max speed got up to 90ish and no way was I going more than 50.

Is the track just spinning to cause this or is there something to worry about?

Your track is just spinning,pay more attention to the motor temp.You can switch it to RPM's which is more important to me than track speed.

run mine also with the tach/temp gauge, who needs to know how fast your going in the mountains??? or should i say how fast my track is spinning now if your rpms are all over the place thats a different story...

Thanks for the heads up. Temp is always my number one concern when looking at the gauges. This whole speedo thing was just new to me.
