Speed sensor problem, and location?!

I have a 2006 RMK900 and i'm having some trouble
Just started this year after it sat all summer i fired it everything was working fine so I thought noticed my speedometer was reading funny it would say 20km/h while sitting still. if I changed the setting to read digital it would say I was going 120km/h and all kinds of speeds. Meanwhile the km`s are going up on trip a and b but the actual main km isnt going up any.... strange:face-icon-small-sho
Im leaning towards the speed sensor but I cant figure out where it is to unplug it and see if that really is my problem
also while idleing sometimes your hear a "click" noise just a constand clicking untill you rev it up a little it goes away once idle drops low it clicks some more
Help please!

In regards to the speed sensor - On the clutch side, below the secondary drive clutch on the bottom of the gold colored driveshaft cover, you will see a wire that leads across the bottom of the belly pan and up by the sidepanel where there is a large plastic wire plug. That plug is where you can disconnect the speed sensor pigtail. Mine went bad last season and my buddies co-incidentally went bad a month later. Replace that pigtail with a new one and you will be good to go! I think the sensor was like $50 or something. Mine was reading anywhere from 50 to 120 mph anytime the sled was running and piled on a few miles before I noticed and unplugged it. It is held into the cover with one bolt and then slides out the bottom.

I am not sure what the clicking noise is that you are hearing... my friend and I have heard his 06 do it from time to time in the past and could never figure out what it was... Not sure if it's the same click you are hearing, but it never has caused any problem.

Thanks so much that seeemed to cure my problem now the digital RPMS are reading the actual RPM now insteal of max RPM and the cluster isnt reading 70 km/h while not moving but is it weird that for some reason it says my kms on the sled are at 3800 when there was only 2200 on the sled before?!? I mean before we unplugged it it even read like 2300 it did tack on a few before I noticed but certainly not 1000+ km I never ran it that long.... anyone have an idea for that? Or should it go back to normal when I put the new speed sensor in? Also around that speed sensor was a little wet? not sure what excactly is behind that gold piece that the wire comes out of but might need a new seal witch should come with a new speed sensor I'm guessing?:sorry:

The clicking noise is the chassis relay. When the idle drops below a set RPM the chassis relay sends all the voltage to the engine management side of the electrical so the unit will continue to run. When above the set RPM the power will be split between the engine management and the accsesory side.
