Spark Plug Examination and FUEL

Pump those 3 gallons in the gas station garbage can.

I thought the middle plugged looked a bit different because the center cylinder likely runs a little hotter. Have you been running octane boost? Octane boost will give you a rust color on your plug as well.

Nope
No aditives of any kind.
Just 91 pump gas, and some 110 last year in Revelstoke and Pemberton.

I started using the FuelRx additive you can get from Yamaha this year. Haven't had any problems so far but I've only used it in about 5 tanks, so the jury is still out.

Supposedly it circumvents ethenol in the fuel and stabilizes octane if it sits for a period of time, if you can't find ethenol-free fuel.

We have one gas station in Idaho Falls that sells NON Ethanol fuel and 110 octane as well.

Actually there's several; Gas-n-Grub on Lincoln & Woodruff and possibly on Lindsay Ave. Country Corner on 1st and Ammon has a dedicated pump for 91 non-alky but they gouge the hell out of you on pricing and the pump is extremely slow (10 min atleast to fill 5 gal) and where I go is Conrad & Bishoff on Lewisville Highway.

Use http://pure-gas.org/ and it will tell you where stations are that have 91 non-alky gas . They have an app for iPhones otherwise use your browser with Android type phones.

</td> </tr> </tbody></table> Welcome to the definitive list of stations that sell pure, ethanol-free gasoline in the U.S. and Canada!

An Android app is forthcoming - in the meantime, use your Android browser!
If you buy ethanol-free gas, and your station isn't listed here, please add it now! (State-by-state labeling requirements are listed at fuel-testers.com.)
Please remove stations that no longer sell pure gas, even if you didn't post them!
Update or remove a station by clicking details->update this station on the station's listing. Thanks! (But don't remove stations simply because they don't sell to autos – many folks use this site to find pure gas for their boats and planes.)

  • Alaska: all stations dispense ethanol-free gasoline.
  • Alberta, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, PEI, Quebec: all stations dispense ethanol-free premium.
  • British Columbia: Chevron 94
  • Ontario: Shell V-Power 91; Costco 91; Canadian Tire 91; Esso 91; Ultramar 91

We currently have 6295 stations entered for the following states and provinces. Click on a state to see them!
