Spark Plug Cap almost touching steering post

On my 09 M8 I noticed that the one spark plug cap is about 1/16 inch away from the steering post. Is this just the way the motor sits? It seems like it would make changing a spark plug a pain in the a$$.

My 07 M8 is the same way. Huge pain for change plugs, let alone get the cap off.

My 2010 is the same way, Just keep an eye on it. On mine the boot rubbed a hole in it and arced/grounded out that coil and made the sledd run rather crappy and we had a hard time figguring out what the hell was causing it.

same way wore a hole in boot so i replaced it and wire tied it out of way

Its a hassle, but luckily you will not need to change plugs very often. I put a new set in each season for the hell of it, and that is it.

throw the plug socket in the garbage abd carry a 13/16 open end/box end and plug work is much nicer
