South Fork Gold Creek/Black Canyon

Anyone heard if you can at least do a road ride up at one of those two locations. Looking for somewhere to break in some new sleds this weekend. Any info would be appreciated.

wrong gold creek

He's asking about SF Gold Creek/Blackcanyon, which is no where near the pass, more like across the street from Carlton.

Was up B/C a couple weeks ago scouting out christmas trees, there was almost enough for a road ride, need lots more before you can use the snowpark. Ill probably be in there thanksgiving week, and will report back unless u go first!

On the lake Chelan side of Black canyon/gold creek area snow level is pretty high but should drop later this week. You will have to trailer pretty far up to unload.

GoldCreek Ride

I have a place at Middle fork, scouted the snowpark yesterday and will need to trailer to about 5 miles past the park (plenty of room on the side of the road at that point). Didn't go all the way up but the way the snow level and precip have been going, should be 35-45 inches on the ridgeline up top. Lake effect snow often piles up there alot heavier than other areas...great early season riding. Going up Thanksgiving weekend.

On a side note, they closed hwy 20 for the winter today and report over 40" at the summit of Washington Pass. Harts is also over 40" now. Better get up there before it gets too deep;)

I'd love to go up, still waiting on money for gas and the dads sled to get fixed. I'll post pics as soon as i go. i was HOPEING for this wknd, but mabey next wknd... IDK!!!

If it were me... I'd do a bit of extra driving and head up to Hart's Pass and skip Black Canyon. But up on the divide between Chelan and the Methow the snow might be pretty decent.
