rode today got pretty warn at the end of the day. Snow is starting to turn to sugar. We found better snow than I did in Tog in feb. Is it great? No but definitely worth the trip. Actually the sugar snow will make condition better and make the riding more challenging.
Defiantly do not go to the southern big horns

How much snow did the south get on Sat? We left a little early due to some leg injuries. I was amazed at how much of the good riding was never touched.

So your saying it would be worth heading out there this week from central MN? anything in the forecast?
I was pleasantly surprised how good conditions were on thur and fri. It snowed 3 to 4 inches on sat AM before we left at 8:00. I would say as long as it does not get into the 50 and 60's at elevation you should be ok. West seemed to have more snow, but the eastern may have gotten more on sat. The video I placed was from maybe 1/2 mile from trail north of deerhaven.
Looks pretty good for the end of march. Even after a good fresh snow last saturday there was hardly anybody out. I seen only about 10 trucks at all the parking lots on the south end. As to why all the good areas arent tracked up thats because ive only ridden up there once this year 
. I just hope they get another good spring dump soon. I forgot to warn anybody last week about west tensleep lake, the water is flowing over the ice and was just about a foot of slush under 8 inches of snow. Buddy got a nytro stuck out there and was not fun to get out. I would suggest staying off of it unless its better now.

I would suggest staying off of it unless its better now.nytro stuck, what's new. those things make a good rider want to give up sledding. really, south was great. just got back home. deer haven has good lodging, food, drinks. rode south, good snow. rode up P trail, great off trail to the west. rode north east today and found great deep, deep untracked areas. hardly anybody else out there. temp's are kinda a problem in the afternoon. snow on top gets sticky, powder underneath. ride early am. we left some untracked snow for you guy's, go for it!!
The snow is still fine in southern horns. They have been getting new snow every week. Look at the forecast for the rest of the week. Not bad for this time of the year ! Those that said snow sucked must of not rode much as nobody that has stayed with us has said anything bad about the snow . Fact is most said it was the best they had in years. Yes around march 15 it did set up a bit but every one was still getting stuck.March 23 it was deep again as had friends there and saw there pictures.
