Source for bearings in western WA?

I remember reading somewhere that Polaris XLT drive shaft bearings are a standard size that can be purchased at a bearing supply place for a lot less than at the Dealer. Is there anyplace in western WA (preferably north end around Lynnwood or Everett) that I can get a PTO side drive shaft bearing (not the chaincase bearing)?

I believe that pto side drive shaft bearing has a round outer race, which is not common. The chain case bearings can be purchased at NAPA. Dave

Bearing houses

If thier is a number on the bearing im sure that Kaman bearings at 253-896-2543 can help. You might try Mcguire bearing as well at 253-572-2700 i have bought many a bearing from them for my bikes and hawk. Kaman might even have a location close to you since both of these locations are in the Tacoma area.

Good Luck

There is a Kaman in Everett at the end of Hewitt by the water. Talk to Mitch, he is a good guy and will help in any way he can.

ttt..

Anyone know of any suppliers in the Eastside area?

I have tried McGuire, Kamen, US Bearing..

Dang special yami parts.

Nothing on the eastside, sometimes you get lucky at Napa but usually not on specialty bearings.

Not sure if this is close enough for ya, but I've had good luck with these guys. Chain case bearings were 60% less than cats. If you do a google search more will come up.

I tried that place too. Oh well, guess I will have to make another run on monday and do some special ordering.

Thanks for the help.

FYI, for all the sounders. There are 3 or 4 MAJOR bearing suppliers located near 4th and Madison on the south side of seattle.

My 20 bearings from yamaha were 7 bucks..

Something to keep in mind..

Bearings, US Bearings and Drives Seattle 206 762-3800
Applied Industrial Tech Seattle 206 223-5255
McGuire Bearing Co. Seattle 206 767-3283

I like the people at McGuire have been dealing with them for years. But both US and Applied have come through for me in a pinch also. Also not all bearings are created equal. A lot of napa bearings are bottom end. Ask the bearing house for a top bearing and they will get you one.

If you need seals do not waste your time or money at the dealer or bearing houses. Go to Omni Packing & Seal Co.
132 South Orcas ST Seattle WA 98108 206 762-3850. I was able to get all of the seals for my Nytro chain case there at a fraction of the cost. They even had most of it in stock. If I remember right the only one they had to order was the high temp one where the brake is.
