Personally I think it's great so we always have some tunes with us lol.
For those that don't know Cold Puss was the builder of the most talked about sled from the Edmonton sled show last year in our booth. He put a JL 7.7" marine coax and amp on a custom M8. After the response we had from that he said he would do his 1100 next year. If it moves he has done gear in it. Does all the audio in our Centurion boats, side by sides, and quads. One of the most talented car audio installers in the country.
And trust me......he doesn't care what weight it adds so don't bother asking lol. Besides, with a BC275 kit he cares even less now. I'm sure he'll post the finished project but it will also be in our booth in the sled show to see.
He already texted me he needs the Evo cold air kit even more now....haha

U had to mention Centurion boats eh? Lol!!! Now I wanna put my Enzo back in the water for a surf session!!!
Little off topic but my stereo shop that Jay runs the install bay has been doing 5-35k systems in boats and stuff for 17 years. Check out the JL facebook page. Lots of his work on there.

Well hey, if your ever out in the Shuswap, drop me a line. Nothin like a few Enzo's tied up around copper island lol. Normally we'll run y-splitters and connect most of the boat's sound systems together to a single ipod lol. Now that's loud muahahah!!!
So back to the topic at hand. I just bought an M1100T and I'm curious to see the finished product of this project. I was going to use the Monster iclarity speaker unit this season but this has piqued my interest also.

I can't tell you how cool it was riding our M8, or even within regular group riding distances, how loud it was. No issues hearing it where ever you were. Nobody said that was silly or a waste of time. Silly is everyone huddled around an iPod on the seat of a 20k sled. Two speakers will be even louder than the M8 was. Personally I wouldn't waste your time with anything other than a system that has a real amp and speaker.
I posted our M8 last winter under a "show your ProClimb" type thread. People had no idea the audio was from the sled unless they saw someone turn the volume up an down, it looked stock. Granted not everyone will want to attempt a project like this but for a car audio guy it's just another day at the office doing custom.
