sonora pass grooming

108 grooming

OK Here's the real scoop on the the grooming on 108.Last year was the first year to groom 3 times a week. This done by dropping the 5N09 road out of the system this giving one more groom in the week and also there was and is a grooming schedule for what days the grooming will be.We the Forest Service and I did this last year! And from I hear from D.M. the same will happen this year!
R.

no we were not asked to groom eagle rode saturday night........ you can contact the summit ranger station to find out the grooming schedule.... hwy 108 thurs sat. and monday.... eagle meadow rode is only monday and thursday..... this is the set schedule..... as given to us by the forest service... depending on snow conditions... thank you

I will be contacting FS to inquire why the hwy gets groomed 3 days a week and Eagles only two. I don't see DM at the ranger station coming up with a good reason. If Dave spent more time on the trails and less time up at Chuck's he might see that there is more sled traffic up Eagle Meadow road each weekend then up to Kennedy Meadows, but that will never happen.

well im sorry if it isnt how it should be but its not our decision... and dave does not spend all his time at the resort he rides first to eagle creek and back then heads up 108 stops at the resort tells us when to groom next then up the pass this has been this way since 2003 when we bought the resort.

but anyways lets pray for some snow so we dont have to ride on asphault

Anyone know what happened to those bridge crossings at eagle creek and the next creek that were put up at the beginning of winter and then removed??

I saw those half pipes across Eagle and they are very heavy. I would guess that FS decided that they didn't want them there anymore and hired someone with a cat to pull them out. Too bad it would have saved some lugs on the old sled track.

108 grooming

It just hit me,Don't point fingers if you don't have the facts, and who cares who put them in it was going to help ANYONE who rides the eagle long valley area.:p

im not pointing fingers i just thought thats who put them in thought maybe they were asked to take them out i don care if they are there or not there are many ways to get around and across those creeks so no im not pointing fingers and anyone....
