Was having a blast out ripping today when I stopped to get gas and opened my hood my coolant bottle cap blows off drenching hood and engine compartment. Wiped it all down, put cap back on and go about 5 miles when the sled just dies, pull it, starts then dies again, did again and now no spark and headlight doesnt even light when i pull it over. No power period.
Gonna tear it down tomorrow I guess and search for something burnt. Any Ideas would be appreciated. Gotta start somewhere. Hoping my stator or ECU didnt fry .'06, Fusion 900.

Sounds like you drowned one of the pigtails somewhere. what was the extent of things getting wet as in how far did she blow inside the compartment

Prolly smoked to the relay that's zip tied under the coolant bottle, it will cause headlight issues. Try that first but get an OEM one don't play with trying to match with generic one.

Will do. I have heard stories about Napa relays frying ecu's so I would only try oem. Going to disassemble the stator and clean that out also.

Well, I feel dumb now. Just about to start tearing through the electrical system and I notice my speedo is frozen at 30 mph. Hmmmmm, unplug dash, 2 pulls and vrooooom. Purrrs like new. Dash board got coolant in it and kept the relay from powering sled. Got dash board apart now and drying it out.
