Friday was great. Ten trucks already there at 8:30. Nice slips of sun and visibility not to bad most the day. When visibility was bad...we hit some walls of snow. Dropped down to the cabin and snow to roof line. Wow. What a powder day. Not a day for heavy sleds. New XP? Just get stuck farther away from pals! Delightful floater of a sled...and no...belts fine. I can hardly walk I am so sore. OD'd on fun. Goose
How's the guy doin with the broken leg?? One heck of a chopper ride out I bet. Late in the day, losing light and when he took off the copter disapeared into the fog going down into the valley. Pucker factor had to be high. What a pilot.

Chopper took him to Skagit then got medivac to harbor view. Broken femur just got out of surgery a few hours ago. We went to see him and recovery is going well. Thanks to everyone that helped (the groomer and the mountain hiker) you guys are great!!

What's the story? How did he get hurt?
the visability was in and out and he dropped off a little knob on to an up hill and his knee jammed into his gas rack and somehow snapped his femur. kind of a freak thing cause he was not going fast at all. must have hit just right to cause the break
Dang Didn't know it was his femur, that's extra dangerous. He was lucky to get out when he did. Pass on all our best wishes.
Are they grooming all the way up to peanut knob? It's nice to have a place to pull out of the pow pow without getting stuck.

Well I was hopin to get over there for T-day but ya all didn't have any snow.
Now it looks like a trip that way is in my near future, Hows it doin over there. Looks like some good pow in the last couple of days! Do ya alll think it'll stick around?
Thinkin maybe the Second weekend in Jan. would be good.
