someone needs to climb this

WOW, it is climable! The ascent at the begging of the vid shows them going up the backside of the mountain. Looks like a decent parking area on top. LOL What sled would it take to climb that beast?

looks to be wider than the skis, and with spring snow one of you chicken chitz needs to climb it, call me before you go so i can come see.

the guys on youtube look like they just got of the short bus.

We saw that 2 years ago when we were out there. I think with the right snow conditions, and sled, it is climbable. Getting back down is the toughest part though.......we will have to check it out again next year.

No problem man, Glad to ride with ya. (even the little bit we did) :( To bad I'm moving to WY this summer. But I am definatley coming and riding monthly. So we'll have to meet up.

i looked at that chute for a good 10 minutes when i was up there on sunday. it would be a feat to say the least. hell i dont know that you could even ride up to the chute. you'd have to get droped on it with a heli.then the backside is a big ol vertical drop off. 500 to 1k feet is my guess. not saying it isnt doable, just man you'd really want to have a full support crew and have you life insurance paid up.

I'm no shoot climber but to me it would seem impossible for a sled to come back down that thing with out some sort of special breaking system.

.................................................Once you get turned around at the top, just pull the rip cord on your ABS backpack. The air bags will inflate to slightly wider than the crack and you can have a nice controlled descent back down the crack.

And just leave your 30K sled on top for me and I'll ride it down. Just make sure you have scratchers on it so I can use them for brakes.

will its been kind of nice having all this to are selves all these years but the secrets out. seeing more and more people showing up every year from out of state, nobody thought we had snow in nevada, and they sure didn,t think we had any chutes to speak of. I have had the pleasure of climbing many of them, but there are still alot that have never been climbed and some that never will be. hope to see some of you here next year to give it a try. now you know why we need so much boost at 10,000+ ft. and I will have more next year.
