Soft or Stiff Suspension?? Better??

Was wondering which way works better to set the suspension up either soft or stiff to not trench? I am riding a 07 Rev 151 and been told both ways, and was wondering which way is really going to not make the sled trench!! Thanks for the help.

Too soft will allow the sled to compress the suspension and then start dragging the running boards thus slowing the sled down and begin a nicely cut trench.

A lot of it depends on your weight. I like little ski pressure, so my ski shocks are backed way out. I don't weigh very much, so I set up my suspension a little heavy on the front rear shock spring, with the stap pretty loose. Then on my rear springs I leave them light until I get to the hill. It is an easy adjustment. It handles better on trail to have the rear springs light, but climbs better for me, to tighten them up a little when I get to the hill. The weight of the sled transfers differently by doing this. This is what I have noticed. Hope this helps.
