Charged the Hills outside of South Fork

Tons of untracked powder..only saw two other sledders all day

Hauled gear out to the "spot" and then headed out for a day of riding. Blue Skies..No wind...sweet day of riding......until 4:20......when skibreeze rolls his sled doing a laid out turn in the powder and snaps his leg:0

A shot minutes before the accident doing the exact same thing

Well its back to the "spot" load up all the gear for the weekend and limp back to the trailer, 20 miles away, under a full moon.

Made a make shift splint for breez's fib break and he rides out as well, what a champ.

5 hours later we drop him at Memorial and start planning the next ride on the 26th, sadly without Dave :(

More pics to post later

Had the most awesome day breaking in the new Dragon, and riding with great peeps. Couldn't ask for a better day of riding, deep untracked pow everywhere. Well except for this one spot:eek: I don't know what I tagged but I was hard over on the right side, and hit something and the sled ended up on it's left side and I was tossed over the left side as well. I knew that I had broken my leg, as soon as it happened. Fuggin blows.

You will just have to be the shadow man for the next 6 weeks

we'll take a pic from each ride in shadow form and credit it as skibreeze

Wow - Sorry to hear about that Dave! Hope you heal up real soon!!!

BTW - GREAT pics. RE had a solid 2' untracked yesterday - but it was like 20 below and 40 mph winds so it was a little less "heavenly"

Too bad the weather sucked for you guys, we were having the time of or lives. I had told Brandon earlier in the day that this much fun should be illegal. Perfect weather, snow, and the new sled was soooo much fun. I love the way that thing boondocked, effortless carving. It sucked that we had to come back last night, I really feel bad for Brandon and Kyle for spoiling the rest of the weekend.

oops

Hey Dave, Sorry to hear about your accident. Let me know if you need something. How long are you going to be out? Hope you heal quickly.:)

Haha dont worry about making the trip short $hit happens man nothing you can do about it-except you dont really have a good story to tell.......hahaha take care and heal up :beer;;)

dave,
sorry to hear about the leg, hope the break isnt to bad. How was the 800???

I will have to see an orthopedic doc to see what's what. It is a fairly clean break and looks to be set ok by the xrays.
Love the new sled in the powder, very easy to toss. The ride is very comfortable. PERC is way better than the mechanical rev. Track is awesome, it tractors on compared to the old 156x2. Love the easy cleaning of the boards, just a small issue in the footwell with ice. My only issues are the seat is too hard (actually hurt my tailbone on a big drop)and my oil light is flickering after my tumble. The wierd part is that there isn't a mark on the ski showing any kind of impact. What really sucks is that it will be Feb. before I can finish breaking it in, which for me is riding it like I stole it.

Well dave since im such a good guy i could finish breaking it in for you that way when your ready to get back on it will be ready to ride with no break in needed!!!!:D

Could do the same for ya Dave!!! :p:D

Might head up with Dizzle Wednesday and Thursday......

Anybody else interested in joining?

Sorry to hear that Dave, what a kick i the azz. Snow's better in Feb anyway :D That sounds like my breakin regime too. lol Looks like a cozy cabin. Great pic of that layover carve!

Finally Got mine back on the snow for a tune up ride today. It works. Gonna do a camp out at the ears the end of the week and weekend with Riceburner from Iowa. Stop by and say hi or go for a ride if your up.

I highly recomend that if you can, Take Boondock up on his offer to ride. You won't regret it, unless you break a leg.
Kyle, I know that you would love to finish breakin it in, lol
Paul, Brandon took that pic, it's up there with some of Rotax's pics.
Here's one that's not so pretty.

did anybody need an 07 600rmk 155? Skibreeze has one for sale in the swapmeet to offset the med bills coming....or if you know someone looking here in CO

Man that really sucks. I never thought about that happening. Been teaching my wife to carve this year's riding goal.

Did the running board edge snap it? Or the track rail?? Or did you just get you leg caught on something in the snow?

Very strange deal. Heal quick, it looks to be a great season down here finally.

I think it was from the amount of roll when I hit what ever it was. I was rolled over pretty hard, probably 50-60 degrees right while turning. It bucked me clear over the left hand side and the sled was laid over on it's left side the same 50-60 degrees. I don't know if it caught in the footwell or not, it was a very violent toss.

I got a full non-weight bearing cast today. I'll have it for 4 weeks probably. I could have elected for surgery to pin it, but I'll go in in 2 weeks to see how it is healing.
