So, who's riding in June?

Whittier was amazing. Bluebird and mild temps. To ride there you have to drive through a 7 mile long rail tunnel. There isn't much to Whittier--basically a big marina and just enough of a town to support it. It is the gateway to the western side of Prince William Sound (PWS), which is heavily glaciated. Many of these glaciers are interconnected so once you get to the alpine (at a whopping 2,000 ft, I'm almost embarrassed to say) you can roll for miles. Natural jumps, booters, step-ups, drops etc. galore.

Here's some pics as promised

I rode the Snowies June 1-2 on my mountain horse, right before they opened the road!! latest I have ridden!

Hey Scott,
You should start your long weekend with a trip up here and we can hook up for a ride in Revy.
I am supposed to be going for a ride next weekend,it would be nice to finally hook up with you for a ride...

I can't do anything but day trips until July. LOL

Interesting location for a windshield. What advantages do you feel it has over the traditional placement?

I wish it was only the windshield that got toasted,I toasted the brand new hood and twisted the tunnel along with the bent bars and steering post....

7 of us rode right out of our shops here on June 1st and 2nd. 65 miles the first day, 55 the next. Conditions were fantastic. Avatar pic is at 6900 feet elevation on the 1st! :face-icon-small-hap

Late season riding has been fun! Pretty cool camping less than a mile from the snow line and being warm 'n' toasty all day (t-shirt or mx jersey riding). Good times on Mt Baker in June.

Reminds me... I gotta summerize my sled... DOH!

This was the first year in the last five I didn't ride in June or July. June 9th was my best day last year. Could have rode in June this year but gave up mid may after the worst season I can remember.
