So who is riding dirt this summer?

I picked up a brand new 2014 KTM 300 XC-W in March, then during the rest of the snow season totally decked it all out and its ready to ride now, but I've only had it out 3 or 4 times so far this year :( ..... just too much other crap going on lately, but now that the season is in full swing, its time to ditch responsibility and ride more :D

I know a couple of you guys on here I've talked to about riding dirt this summer, maybe we should try and have some dirt rehab for the snow guys over the 4th of July this year? :)

If not then, whenever .... but we should try to set something up.

Yeah wow I guess nobody is riding. Not another bike in sight this morning and it was even the 4th of July.

More dirt for me I guess *shrug*

;)

Your bike sounds rich.

Have you played with jetting yet?

I put the JD jetting kit for 5,000 ft in it, but I was running 7500+ ft and I have the FMF Q Stealth pipe on it, which I don't think is quite as free flowing as the stock pipe is.

In all actuality, I could probably afford to go down one size on the pilot and main then drop the needle to the top clip ... I almost never ride this bike below 7000' or so.

Suppose tuning for 5000 would be safer if you'll end up riding down there.

Haven't had my 380 up in the hills yet, but my 250's behaved pretty good when fine tuned at 3700.

Thought meh on your down tree, until I googled. Jaggaloons are also spiking trails. Rampart got spiked, and somewhere up by Aspen.

Yeah, normally I wouldn't have even thought twice about it .... but the colorado mountain club which is basically nothing more than a mouth peice for super rich colorado land owners in this day and age has been trying trying to get a wilderness designation down there enacted while our lord and savior is still in office. There have been a lot of the CMC *******s down there screwing with everything. One tree I could have bought as storm damage, but 3 or 4, no way.

Ok, I am officially a total dumbass.....it's one very large tree with several very big branches that fell over. I have no idea what I thought I was looking at on friday......so yeah I guess I let paranoia get me on this one :(

My girlfriend and I are riding dirt, she was top in the state of Texas for dirtbike racing way back in the day..

I have a dualsport Kawasaki Super Sherpa that we take bar hopping, and we also have a Sportsman 700 4x4 for camping. Have been to Rampart Range plenty of times but never saw those booby traps... :face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-con

I had a bike once. It was fun.

Funny, I have two bikes & have yet to ride ONCE this season so far, this year is killing me.

Lets go sat. Been hitting rampart. With all the rain, it should be legit.

Bunch of folks riding from my place tomorrow, then our big party after that. Got a band N everything.

Come on up man!

We're riding at noon. I'm probably just gonna borrow my buddy's bike, both of mine are in the shop.
