So who does it??

I assume you had the front skis clamped down?

I thought doing that and setting the brake were the same as tying down.

Or are you guys talking about using tie down straps?

If so how are you strapping the sled down? We always clamp the front, but I sure don't mind taking the extra minute to throw a strap on the back if someone tells the best way.

I put recessed D rings in the deck at the back of the trailer(open trailer)...one on each side and one in the middle. I take a ratchet strap and go from the outside ring to the middle, with a wrap around one of the aluminum rods connecting the rails(at a loss for the correct term). Then use the excess to go over the back of the tunnel and cinch it down a bit.

This has saved my sled before when the front tie bar broke on a nasty logging road.:beer;
